Catering for patients in hospitals and care institutions

We provide hospital patient catering. Diets are prepared according to metabolic disorders and the body’s need for nutrients.

The menus are prepared taking into account the recommended daily energy and nutrient norms for adults and children, the average set of food products per patient in the health care institutions of the Republic of Lithuania approved by the Lithuanian Minister of Health.

Based on the main diet and its modifications, appropriate, avoidable and eliminated foods are selected for each diet.

The goal of diets is to provide the body with the right amount of nutrients and energy. The basic diet is modified in various cases: in the case of caloric imbalance, impaired digestion of food or absorption of nutrients due to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, in the absence of nutrients.

Diet adaptation takes many forms: changes in food consistency, elimination of specific foods, increased or decreased nutrient intake, adjustment of food intake and frequency of eating.

Organization of catering services in care institutions: children’s care homes, nursing homes.

Meals take place in the canteens of care institutions. The canteens have suitable conditions for cooking, updated technological equipment and refrigeration equipment is provided with the necessary inventory and dishes.

Meals in children’s care homes are organized taking into account the age groups of children and the principles and rules of healthy nutrition. Children are fed all year round, four to six times a day, according to menus prepared by the company’s technologists, which are approved by the head of the institution and agreed with the State Food and Veterinary Service.
